Join the ACT Board
This is a position of leadership, governance and direct service. Board work is guided by the mission and vision, and determined by strategic priorities as agreed to annually in the review of our strategic plan. As a collective body, the Board oversees the fiscal management and assumes fiscal responsibility of ACT in a manner that fosters organizational health and viability. The Board is responsible for managing the Executive Director and giving direction as a cohesive and collective body. Board members facilitate the annual evaluation of the Executive Director, as well as a self-evaluation of the Board. Board members participate in the creating and implementing the long-range planning and evaluation for ACT. The Board supports organizational success through fundraising, development, and marketing. Board members commit to at least 5 hours a month of Board service in the form of fundraising and development, events, and meetings. Board members should help recruit and nominate new Board members. Annually, the Board nominates and approves new officers. The Board commits to fundraising $5,000 annually.
